A Lover's Touch

by N4than   Sep 1, 2006

Holding her closer,
He looks into her eyes,
As their lips converge,
His hand touches her thigh

When they kiss,
All time and motion stops,
Save a single hand,
Exploring under her top

The rain has frozen,
In suspended animation,
The world is still for an instant,
Except for two hearts in synchronization

Twenty seconds later,
The droplet above his nose,
Lands with such catastrophic effect,
They move to a slightly diverging pose

Still gazing into each other’s eyes,
Whilst the world is filled with strife,
Those six small words sound smooth and clear,
I love you more than life.
