Normally I wouldn't go for repetition but using the word empty was wow used perfect especially with finding the best possible rhymes for it to be followed by. It's good reading a poem that doesn't try to be sad but really is sad without maybe the poet realizing it. It lets the poem seem real!

This was a very sad poem, but a very good dedication. A person's life is so very precious, to every person that they have touched as well. Well written poem.

I can definitely see the meaning, but the flow is a little off, especially the last line of the first stanza. Maybe you could replace 'exactly' with 'just'? I don't know, it just seems like it has too many syllables.

The third stanza is really good, though. The first two lines really get the point across; that he's dead but was alive not long ago.

All in all, the flow could definitely be better. But good word choice for the most part, and the meaning is strong.
