Lawro, long time no see hows things with... bloddy h@ll (he says looking at your votes! 182!!) what you been up to here my friend? you`ve certainly been able to tap into the sensibilitys of the reader, far better than me. come and sprinkle some of the magic dust over a few of my poems! (kneels) I humbled in yr pressence.(lol!)

Excellent poem here lawrence, the poiency of its theme is accenuated by its brevity, every word is important, precise and clear. must have read it 5times now and its still holding my full attention.

It begins with something i can personal identify with, just as we are in the middle of life suddenly and old love, and old intimate friend comes rolling accros the mind, bringing with it a sense of loss, regret and as you say `a sudden lonliness`.

I like the way those distant memorys bring a lesson for us all in the last part of this piece. you are so true lawrence, those last five lines are truely exceptional to me. the give and take of a relationship, accepting someone for who they are and not who we wanted them to be. dnt know if this is what u had in mind when writing this but then poetry like all art is subjective to the individual and i know when im reading a good poem when it makes me think and examine my past, mistakes, succseses etc.

If this poem had consisted of nothing but those las five lines i would be giving it a 5 anyway, the fact that the whole poem is superb AND has those last five lines leaves me in an envious awe!

i just need to say this is the most amazin poem i've ever read i must say it brung tears to my eyes i have felt this lonely i used to feel it frequently so i know how u feel i think u showed ur compasstion and determination to succeed in this poem it is very very heart captureing ! you linked the whole poem well and made it flow PERFECTLY i wanna say ABSOLOUTLY NY NO CERCUMSTANCES EVER STOP WRITTIN !!!

Yes, I must say, you have an incredible gift to be able to put so much feeling in so few words. I do have a couple short ones (I know I've submitted My Heart Bleeds For You...might be my onlyshort one on here), but mine tend to be pretty much novel-ish :) Take care...and keep on writing!
