Halloween

by Bogie   Oct 4, 2006

As the light of the summer ends
Were the dark of winter begins
The first full moon near November
And the final harvest marker

A sent shadow world warrior
Lowered opens the barrier
As the dead enter the living
Like deceased souls revisiting

And the masks and Jack-o-lantern
Trick bad spirits to run and turn
Beggars are going door to door
Exchanging prayers for treats and more

A celebration once for the dead
Now celebrate the living instead
A 2000-year-old routine
Is today seen as Halloween
