Homecoming Night

by Emm   Oct 29, 2006

Of all the lost things in this world that we see,
Among these so many have gazed upon me.
Giant hats and un-dead cats,
Homecoming bashes and car crashes.

A mosh pit mayhem,
Has caused me to say,
I just had a wonderful day.
Blood on her dress,
A nosebleed caressed,
Dancing all night,
Despite,
That terrible, horrible fright,
That homecoming night has caused.

So many poor victims will be slain by betrayal.
We say to the lost and the teary eyed whiners,
Everything will be fine.
But in a giant conga line that only gets bigger, and smaller in time.
We will be torn apart willingly.
As the clock strikes 12 we scatter,
So dark that it's hard to see.
The battered and broken,
I lay there unspoken.
As homecoming night feasts on me.

My feet won't stop moving,
To this sound that is making it's way through the minds of my friends.
This night is just proving,
That without all that grooving this night would've come to an end.
So, with that said, my pals,
The painful decals,
That this poem has left on your eyes,
A Homecoming night is one of despite,
And now all that's left is Goodbye.
