Rain bow row

by Passionate   Mar 15, 2007

Wordlessly perfect
dreamlessly free
sand covered earth
and the Atlantic ocean up to my knees.
birds fly up above,
cawing with the breeze,
as my body and i jump every wave that we see.
landing in the mushy sand,
sinking fast,
my mom calls out to me hurry its dinner at last.
we are off,
and the table is covered in cloth,
now its time to practice just a little sloth.
when we are done we marvel at the statues and old slave market now filled with its trinkets and toys,
we look for some ice cream and gawk at rainbow row,
with its sisterly houses all sitting heal to toe.
the old brick pavement is rough on your feet so we catch a horse ride and take a seat.
as we take in the old streets,
we talk about the sky line and old houses.
soon we return to slumber in our breezy hotel room,
where we will wake in the morning to continue our journey south,
to find more fun and relaxation.
