What a wonderful poem. A wonderful honor to your parents. I know what a good man they have raised.. It is a very hard job to take care of a family and provide all they need. Excellent job on your poem.

My parents always used to tell me something
You'll understand when you have your own child
Now i realize how hard it is to create a shelter
Just for your loved ones to have a protected life

I really liked this stanza. I hope you share this with your parents because I know they would be proud of you.

Most of us takes our parents and their love as granted little we realise there sacrifices and dedication for years to make us what we are.

Most people miss out on the fact that our parents are sometimes our closest friends, and dont seem to realise how important friendship is. you really captivated the real love of a child-parent relationship in a beautifully penned piece of work. definately keep it up! xXx

When i read this poem it made me smile because i can relate to it very well. ;) i did the same thing. i had a rough childhood but i still thought the same things when i was adopted. i thought my adopted parents didnt love me as much as their birth kids. but now that im older i see that they loved me jus the same all along. i love the way you worded this and the special thank you at the bottome. well said. ;)

How bias i was in judging my parent's love
