Your poem is about a Utopian society. There will never be a perfect society, there will always be countless issues. Poverty will never be completely abolished, war will never cease. However, I agree that there are a lot of major flaws in our world and it is frustrating to know that if people just cared or made the effort things would be so much better. You will never fix everything but I applaud you efforts.

"If lights and doors and mere passerby
Could compel people to give peace a try
Then maybe the world would settle down
Maybe our soldiers wouldn't be in the ground"

I agree with icarus. I believe that poverty is here to stay. Everyone can make a difference, if we tried and cared more. We may never completely fix things or make the world perfect but giving up, sitting back and watching people die is not right. A better tomorrow may never come but I look to it still. Amazing write.
