Sad but beautifully done. Excellent word choice. The story is one many can relate to. I can not pick a favorite stanza as the poem in its entirety is amazing.

So sad it is........ time waits for no one......
So much promise but left with nothing......
too late...to wait...the clock ticks on........

It appears that you have met my ex-husband before. This sent chills up my spine reminding me how cold his eyes look and his heart remains.

I missed this one.. what a powerful ending!
