Hm I'm really sorry that I cannot give you a proper comment on this poem but I've never been really good at reading songs without the melody to go along with it in my head. I really liked some of the word choices though.

This poem was really beautiful and I'm glad you decided to write something for the Virginia Tech shooting, a truly appalling event. I really liked the simplicity of this, because songs that have good meaning but go straigh to the point are beautiful. Something I think would be better though for a song of this serious note would be not to end words in "n'", like instead of holdin' and carryin', maybe holding and carrying? Of course that's a personal creative choice. Either way, excellent work!

This song was great. it was sad but full of emotion. the flow was good to, just like your last song.

The way you died,
it stole my soul.

thats my favorite stanza in this song. the structure of it was really good. 5/5 keep up the good work.
