    Jeannie
You always amaze me with the depth of your writing. This just really tears at the heart. The pain and sadness just reach out and grab you.

A darkness drifts inside my soul
Into my heart it breathes then dies
As shadows on the wall of time
    With my mind collide.

You have done an excellent job on this piece.

No distant pain is now recalled
With fervor beats the hands of fate
The taunts of wounds begin to fall
    Upon the soul that waits.

    My favorite stanza Jeannie ...
Flow is wonderful and as I read each word carefully, they slowly settled in to my heart with a sigh.

A darkness drifts inside my soul
Into my heart it breathes then dies

Very good poem, I thought you did well for a non-rhyming sad poem, to have such a good flow and at the same time have good meaning good job.

    Wow. a really powerful piece.
    A breeze of discontentment
To the mind a word is spoken
And though it has the sound of truth
Your faith has now been broken.

thats my favourite stanza, very well worded.

    hit back
