Mommy's never perfect

by Kersten   May 25, 2007

Mommy's words can be hateful
Yet mommy's words can be so helpful

Mommy can by do loving
But she can also by very terrifying

The fights me and mommy have some times
Fell like they'll never end

But when we come to our senses
And come out of the little trance

We tell one another we're sorry
And go back to being a happy family

Ya see mommy's never perfect
She's just like you or me

She makes her own mistakes
And prayers nobody will ever see

Mommy tries not to cry
She tries to stand tall

Mommy wants a perfect family
But she'll never get one because.....

She has a daughter who's not perfect
Even tho she tries to be

No matter how hard she tries
I guess she never will be

She has a husband
Who she's been with for many years

Some times she feels he doesn't love her
The way he did when they were kids

She has a father, not much to say
He makes her mad some time, but hey thats OK

Now i have to say today is her birthday
And thats something we cant change

Your another day older
Turning 35 i think

Sorry to remind you
But you look 17 to me

Todays your day to make mistakes
And every body chooses not to see

So now i end this with one thing left to say
Mommy's never perfect, but to the world she is today

( HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM )
