This is a very beautiful poem, Laila. It's so sad and full of so many emotions.. I truly enjoyed reading it! I really loved the first few lines too..

"Held in my hand,
Our ring, so tight.
Thoughts of you, in my head,
Dwell for days and nights."

I really think the ring part really hits you hard. That line just makes people realize that even marriages sometimes don't have happy endings.. makes the poem even sadder.
