I love how you tied it off in the end.
The structure of the poem is bit scattered for my taste, although I do like the story within the words. Maybe if you used a bit more descriptive words it might strike the reader a bit more, and may be a bit more dramatic.
The rhyming scheme is pretty cool with me, cept the actual rhymes are a bit weak - Universe and verse. idk, it took me another run through to find the rhyming scheme. I don't think it was too strong, but I still love the general idea of the poem.
