I've been in this situation, and I stayed for the same reason. It's so hard, but I left him. That was two years ago, plus, and now I am in an amazingly wonderful relationship that I am confident will be my last. It all depends on if you want better than what you get...and no one deserves to be treated like that. Good poem, though...
