Wow, another very powerful poem from you Dear. I loved this, you painted a picture in my head and I could feel the pain coming off from your words throughout this piece. I loved this.

are battle scars covered in tears"

^^ I LOVED those lines, the imagery was fantastic in those two alone.

It's an awesome poem! I loved the style. There was just one part I think was worded incorrectly.

the flicker of light
has gone from my eyes
and resounds in each piece as it breaks

Wouldn't it be reflects...instead of...resounds? because light reflects right? I could be wrong, but it was the only thing off to me in the whole piece. Other than that I loved it a 100%!!!

Oh Auntie this was such a sad piece.

Mere mortal am I laying silent
no sound escapes clear from within
as memories peak
in my dreams as I sleep
