That was beautifully written ,there are some lines in there that describe how I am feeling lately.

My heart is pained and heavy with dispair
As I am now beginning not to care

and

Not wishing to cause heartache or pain

I think and I wonder that maybe I am not the only one at some point in life makes a decision so not to cause heartache or pain to others and just suffer a silent pain deep within my own heart.
