Fairy Lights

by Hannah Mhairi   Oct 27, 2007

It doesn't feel like Christmas is coming,
and I don't get the point to life,
but everything changes when,
I stare at those fairy lights.

Lights filled with joy and happiness,
take me back through all my years,
In those lights lies why I'm alive,
why I am still here.

Lights that paint the darkness,
in colours so bold,
prove to me the magic in,
the carols of old.

My decking the halls,
is never complete,
until those wondrous fairy lights,
give my heart its beat.

And they replace old time tragedies,
with comfort for the years to come,
and the wonder of the simplest things,
that lie under our sun.
