    Sam,

You have made a beautiful Monchielle. I love how the words fit together so well. You are a gifted poet, my friend.

I hate that I still love you
Farewells swept away on a gush of wind
I've battled for to long, relinquishing the rope
It's too late I'm taken a step back trying to forget
Though because of you, I'm stumbling for hope

Beautiful poem dear friend, complete poem is so outstanding and i just loved the end....great write

all the best and take care

    Sam
such a sad poem you have penned. The hurt and sadness scream from this piece.

I hate that I still love you
Playful teasing natures cutting so deep
    Laughter drawing away common sense
    Mocking with controlled deception
A mellow craving, once so intense

This stanza is really full of emotion. It is so sad when people mess with the emotions of others to feed some sick need in themselves. How deeply their games can hurt the unexpecting.
    Great job!

This part rips at my soul ... the (head games) people play not only poison our mind but break the heart also.

I love your title ... it grabbed my attention from the get go. And when hate & love are in the same sentence ... you know you're in for a heart- touching read!
And this one certainly didn't disappoint ...
Your pen as your heart .. has inked a very sad heart-touching read.
    Well done!

Such a sad piece Sam....the flow and images are beautiful and capture the reader from the beginning....I love the repitition of the beginning line in each stanza....

"I hate that I still love you
Farewells swept away on a gush of wind
I've battled for too long, relinquishing the rope
It's too late I've taken a step back trying to forget
Though because of you, I'm stumbling for hope "

^Trying to hold on to something that is lost is sometimes the saddest of all....beautiful word choices.....a joy to read....Take care, Debbie
