Christmas

by Sarah Mirabile   Dec 19, 2007

Decorations light up this small town of Troy,
Signifying the time of year that most of us enjoy,
Children and adults of all ages are embracing
in this mutual happiness,
For it's beginning to smell and feel like Christmas.

Between the tasty candy canes and smell of
gingerbread men filling the air,
The anticipation is more than any of us can bare,
Humming through unremembered lines,
of cheerful Christmas carols playing in our minds.

Snow angels laying in our backyard,
Sending everyone in our address book a
greeting card,
The Christmas tree has been up since the
day after Thanksgiving,
But the finishing touches are just beginning.

Pleasant dreams of a wonderfully white blanket
of snow on Christmas morning,
The anticipation will soon be over ---
And we can start unwrapping!

*Have A Happy and Safe Holiday, Everyone!
