Living to die

Confused between what is really and what is not.

Snakes around my ankles
Insects around my face
The blades on my wrists
The souls in my heart
Scars over scars
Life and death
Living in the night sky
Always behind you
Searching, looking, finding
A place to go for you

Dragged towards the demons I cry

Shattered glass through my mind
Cuts my wrists as I cry
Falling hearts through the sky
Opens a door to a new lie

As the light goes out
So does my life
With my head on the pillow
And you at my door
Silently I cry until you’re gone

Bringing the knife away from my wrist
I throw it to your heart

And I breathe and sigh

Learning to breathe
Standing face to face
Grabbing my wrists as I cry
You push and shove till blood pours
