Close your eyes for your eyes will only tell the truth
And the truth isn't what you want to see
In the dark it is easy to pretend
That the truth is what it ought to be

It'll get better, I'll no longer cry...

in a couple of weeks, I won't want to die.

I won't want to go back, I'll be able to sleep,

it won't hurt so bad and it won't hurt so deep...

You seem so far away from me...
my soul still starves for you.
A wilted rose scorched by an angry sun,
my barren world has fallen through.

My life lies around me in puddles...
the only thing I could control.
This enemy's won, it's all over now.
Depression's devoured my soul.

Do you know how much it pains me,to hear you speak such things?
Do you know the torment this causes...or the anguish that it brings?
I gave you myself freely, though you didn't have a clue.
Now I've lost what was never mine...I've lost myself in you.

Blood of my heart, protection is thine.
Life of my life, taking yours, taking mine.
Body of my body, marrow and mind.
Soul of my soul, to our spirit bind.
Blood of my heart, my tides, my moon.
Blood of my heart, my salvation, my doom.

Death will keep this pain at bay,
and guard you from all harms.
And so you go to rest this day,
you sleep in a skeleton's arms.

Sleep little womanchild, restfully,
in the tranquility of your watery tomb.
Death's fair new bride has laid down by his side,
once fair maiden now Mistress of Gloom.
