And I can't hate her for being with him,

Keep the one you love, or give him away to the girl who makes him ||SMILE||

Her heart breaks everytime she thinks of the ||PAST||
When she thinks of what they [[ WERE ]] and how it went by .::SO.FAST::.

Every night she wishes on stars and goes to bed ||SMILING||
But everyday her smiles [[FADE.AWAY]] when the boy she wishes on doesn't look her way.

I thought you had [[ FIXED ]] my broken heart.
But you just taped it up and glued it together.
Then you turned around and ||BROKE.IT|| again.

Behind the scars and tears
is a girl trying to get past her ||FEARS||
Of falling in love with the boy
who'll just treat her heart like it's a [[ TOY ]]

The harder she tried to ||HOLD.ON|| to him,
the farther away he became.
And as she [[ TIGHTENED ]] her grip on him,
more of him .::SLIPPED.AWAY::.

But as he slowly learned more about her beautiful soul,
he took her broken heart and made it whole.
