The say beauty is a gift,
but I would beg to differ.
For I have seen and felt what beauty does,
It weaves a web of intricate lies.
Then once it has everyone enthralled,
It destroys us one by one.

I hear what they say about you,
when they think I cant hear.
They hate your shoes and your hair,
They say you need more make-up, to fix your face.
I hear every word they say.
I say they need to be demolished from the human race.

One day
Im going to make it.
Just because you said I cant.

When you look in the mirror what do you see?
A girl who is proud?
I see a girl who just wants to be.

You didnt know me then,

In three words I could sum up
Everything I have leared about life:
It goes on.
Everything I've learned about love:
It doesnt last.

They change fast

The more you stay the same
the more they seem to change.
