When I ask someone "Who are you?," I expect a name. Not their sexuality or political views. I couldn't give a damn about those. I mean, unless I was scouting for someone to get laid or have a political debate with. But not at the same time.

Respect is earned, not handed out like candy. I'll be polite but don't expect me to look up to you.
