I awake from my sleep to
see angels standing at the window...

On the morn of 14th October 1881
with a light wind that was blowing...

There it sat alone
this haunted tree on the hill...

Standing I stood on the cliff
looking out across the sea...

At first it was lust
That then turned to love...

Look to the night sky
see the stars twinkle...

The stars dance in the night sky
twinkles of light cast down to earth...

Left alone to our own devices
Left alone to defend for ourselves...

From this dream I awake
Is it time for me to partake...

The rain lashed against the window washing
away the memories I had of you the wind blew...

The sound of a clock ticking on the wall
reminds me that time is slipping away...
