Writing Poetry Requests.....

I have just received my first poetry request from college. They want me to write a poem about the course that I am currently studying and the people in my group.

I have never written any poems on this sort of topic before.

Does anyone have any ideas as to where I should start?

A bit of everything I guess.....

Fundraising, Community Work, Climbing, Watersports and written work on things like CV's and Key Skills.

i think you can either focus on one topic (i think watersports would be the coolest =p ) or try to put all your surroundings into one not focusing on a thing rather your feelings towards these things?

Start from the begining, lol!
I think you should consider the topic thoroghly and make a visual image of the kind of scenerio you intend to protray. My teacher always challenge me to think outside the box, bcs for every story there are many perspectives to telling it, and it will be more meaningful and different if we put alittle of ourselves in it.
