Is this a good way to break up with a guy?

Things have become really complicated for me since I started going out with this guy. I've lost friends, all because of him, and I'm not quite comfortable around him....Here is what I want to say...

"Things have been more complicated since we’ve been going out, and I think we should just be friends for now. Don’t be like everyone else and ignore me, we can still hang out. I need friends more than anything right now, and they seem to be hard to find."
