His father pushed him off his roof...

Hey, i really just wanted some advice...

I was talking to my boyfriend yesterday, and he told me [i am the second person he's over told] that his father pushed, [threw] him off his roof when he came out as bisexual to him. they were on the roof fixing a leak, and he was sick of his father beign a jerk to anyone not straight. and so he "monologued around it for a while" then came right out and said it.. "i told him i was bisexual, and then i was in the air"

This happened a couple of years ago, and he hasn't spoken to his father since. His parents were already divorced so they didnt live together anyways.

He says he's fine but I'm not!
I really hate it.. how could someone do something like that to his own son!?!?!

Damn i hate this, but my parents are the same way i guess...

i never came out to my parents, but im sure if i do, they would literally kill me...

so i guess i would just be hidden , untill i move out, i hope soon lol

Wow. That's horrible!
But there are just some things that people can't get over, not even for their own flesh and blood. But there's no such thing as a perfect world, you know. I don't know what to tell you, but that this situation is horrible. and that it really sucks that there are people out there like this. :[

Yeah I agree. with the above post and Bobs.
Just be there for him like you have and he will be grateful that at least someone will always be there for him when he really needs someone.

I think he dad doesn't want to change...even for his own flesh and blood...he might be like really pissed off and scared thinking about his son coming home with a boyfriend one day
but either way that is no way to handle the situation...why the heck would just throw someone off the roof like that

Omg this is so terrible.

people can be so closed minded sometimes that they are willing to do anything to be "normal"
its messed up that a father cant accept his own son and embrace his choices for his life.

Tell him to keep his chin up and that his dad is a jerk for not being able to accept him.
