Wings

Broken, tender smile
Of a girl, lost long ago
Soft breaths of wind
Through gentle hair does blow.

She has lost her smile
That lit up his entire world
She has lost her joy in life
Because she's not his girl.

Her halo of innocence
Was violently snapped in half
Her pure angels' wings
Have been torn, like her heart.

Now she lies, lost in forever
A happily ever after, now never
They were meant to be together
But without her wings, halo, heart,
Where is their forever?

The Diary

It's pages lay here tattered,
Scattered on the floor,
Violated,
Prying eyes,
Can prowl for nothing more.

Answers come from asking questions,
Not from breaking trust,
What you've done, does nothing more,
Than fill me with disgust.

My private pages, hopes and dreams,
My darkness and my pain,
Trapped inside this little book,
You read with sweet disdain.

It wasn't yours to come and find,
Yet still you searched it out,
Then wonder why I'm standing here,
With eyes so full of doubt.

Doubting that you understand,
Or realize what you've done,
I rip apart the little book,
And give it to the sun.

Pages floating through the air,
Words now left behind,
I'll never write another thought,
Locked inside my mind.

My diary, my secret place,
No longer safe to be,
Trapped inside the living world,
For anyone to see.

This is everything

I am a strong person.
Sometimes, just a person who could be strong.
But isn't.
Someone who is broken on the inside,
but keeps moving along.
Walking, running, crawling down the path that is my life.
Someone who tries to help all
though is very selfish sometimes.
This....is everything.
I am called mom- those who call me that don't know the selfish side of me.
A person who wonders if people care.
But knows there are people out there who do
Someone who just wants to be loved,
but all she loves, she won't always let in.
This...is everything.

I am a weak person.
Who pretends to be strong, but not fooling herself.
Someone who keeps breaking herself and letting others help.
Someone who tries to help herself,
because she wonders if others care enough to help.
This...is everything.

I am a strong person.
Who feels week at times but can always pull through.
I hate getting help from others
But I see that sometimes it's worth it.
This...is everything.

I am not good enough, but I know I could be.
I used to try to be perfect.
But I know I am not and will not be.

I would like to be a strong person.
Like a real mother- strong, passionate, beautiful, everything.
I can be in the worse situation and still think practically.
This...is everything.

So far out of life, I have gotten great friends.
Some have left, some have stayed.
But they all had their moments of greatness.
I have gotten love, and given love.
Given up love and given up what I thought was but wasn't.
This...is everything.
I want to be an artist.
I want people to be changed by my art- be moved.
To stop for a minute and think.
To see my art and stop for a moment
and be happy- be moved
to understand and love and appreciate.
And be moved.
This...is everything.

I want to change a life.
Sometimes I want to change my life.
I want to say something to someone that changes them forever.
I want to hear something that makes me understand everything.

And I want to have love,
true, real, passionate, sweet, weakening, empowering, beautiful
Love.
That....is everything.

Sorry "this is everything" isn't one of my titles!

Torn pages float
Down
From overcast skies
Above
Stained with coffee,
Blood,
For a word
Or knowing
Love.

Chemicals are mixed
My scientific love
My heart is
Hurt
But I still
Love.

Daimon, you
Are the one,
And you should know
That I really need you
For my feelings do grow...

The pages float
Down,
The come down in
Swirls,
You don't know how much
I wrote for you
In my diary
While you played with
Those girls...

Trapped in a box please?

Her Footprints

Impressions in the sand
from where we once stood,
a reminder of a time
where our lives were good.

The cracks along the beach;
perpetual memories it brings,
our footprints everlasting
as the oceans sings.

As the moon rises
the tide creeps near,
attempting to fade
our memories so dear.

Land nor the sea
can wither the ground,
where our hearts first met
and were forever bound.

Although times changed,
your footprints maintain,
the love held within,
efforts to erase in vain.

The tide rises further
and winds blow fiercely.
Our footprints remain,
a heartbroken marquee.

Indentations without a name
join me in solitary thoughts,
prints in the ground
unwelcome feelings they've brought.

These impressions of yours
forever will stand,
until finally replaced,
erased in the sand.

Trapped in a box

My Heart still lies in the heart shaped box
Let out from its cage, it would run amok
That's why it's concealed with a lock,

Many have lost their hearts in the snow.
Many are trampled, onto cold grey stone.
Recycled again until it's eternally hollow.
I refuse to cease the blood that flows,
Love is a drug. And it ends in woe.
I've never felt. They just come and they go.

The endeavour to escape will be forever blocked.
My resistance so I do not suffer love's shock.
It will always lie in its heart shaped box.

Singing of the galaxies
And the stars all around
Drifting free without care

I open my eyes and walk
In a land where all is free
Were the ocean is clear
And the breeze in my hair

Every where I go and everything I see
Keeping my mind opened I know
That I'm in a place of my own
My home away from home

~My Home Away From Home~

I am going to paint a picture,
of what all of you would see,
if you spent a day adventuring,
with all my friends and me.

Preparation is half the battle,
for our adventures are not tame.
You better come prepared,
for you'll find we're less than sane.

In the deadest heat of summer,
our bikes will breach the street,
for temperature is just a factor,
in all the obstacles we'll beat.

When the heat is hard to bare,
and sweat wells up on our wrists,
all we do is take a detour,
and drown in a sprinkler's mists.

As soon as we're refreshed,
we leave for where we're destined.
Water drips from all our clothes,
looking back at what we danced in.

Our laughs are heard for miles,
while we ride into the sunset,
but our adventure doesn't end here,
there are stories left to tell yet.

As we near our destination,
the wind blows through the trees.
We can hear the water echoing,
through the dense forest leaves.

We enter the woods silently,
for we are not there to disturb.
We come to find our family,
within the forest herbs.

Once we've found our spot,
we make ourselves at home.
The river flows beside us,
we're all glad to be alone.

A tree drapes across the river,
it had fallen from a storm.
It is our only way to cross it,
we must escape from the norm.

For this river is what divides us,
from the gangsters and the preps.
We are the pot smokin' hippies,
and this river divides us best.

The world can see it in my lost eyes
Overwhelmingly broken inside, I cry
To retract those moments from life
I feel so emotionally violated by you
My heart in your hands in a moment of truth
Twisting and wrenching in a desolate pain
The beat has stopped, the blood scattered
People who care will remember me tattered
Torn between who you are, and who i love
It started so simple, you were perfect
My time wasted obviously wasn't worth it
Innocently I gave you something fragile
Labeling the box with a cautious warning
You shattered me gracefully to cause my mourning
You taught me something I will always heed
Next time I won't wear my heart on my sleeve

The Diary; Confessions of a Loving Heart.

Dear Diary,

Excited and anxious ... my heart flees with endless joy! Another sunrise ... another moment to witness a smile that triggers passion to seep through my eyes. WAIT! There he appears in all his glory with those compassionate eyes and confident strut. Vacant seat adjacent to me now occupied by my love. His gaze meets mine and as our eyes lock I am mystified within a dream ...But soon the moment is broken by the shrill ringing of a bell. As the teacher rambles on about Shakespeare [or was it Emerson today?] my thoughts linger with images of his eyes ... smile. Yearning heart screams for his devotion. When will our longing fingers interlock with passion so enticing? Waiting for the day you speak my name with your bursting heart and as I surrender my love for you. Oh diary, if he was to read these words with hidden meanings I would melt with satisfaction yet apprehension. Time to sleep, perhaps dream of his golden eyes...

Dear Diary,

She glows like the sun shining in my window on that hot summer's day. Making me smile like no one else can with happiness in my heart and love in my soul. If I speak these words of affection sweetly in her ear, will she blush with delight and kiss me so gently or will she flee into the warm embrace of another? Yearning to hear the words of her heart while hopeful she shares my same passions...love. Perhaps tomorrow I will take that leap into everlasting love and she will be happily be by my side with my hand clasped firmly in hers. Time to sleep, perhaps dream of her radiant smile...

Two souls yearn to unite but fear rejection
Fire burns deep within igniting passions
Will these hopeful hearts softy whisper
Sweet nothings and sweet love be declared?

Dream girl, dream boy take that chance
Find the sensation many only speak of
Don't let fear overwhelm your souls
Love is an emotion worth fighting for

Dear diary those words so true,
