What should I do in this situation?

Ok, so I'm basically friends with everyone I meet. I mean, everyone knows that about me. My friend is 22 and he goes out with this girl who is 16 or 17. The girl and I are not close. We talk, but we're not, like, friends. You get what I mean? Well, her boyfriend comes over to me tonight at church and sits down beside me and we start talking. I've known him for about 8 years, so we're pretty close. See, this friend of mine, he likes to gesture with his hands when he talks and I was watching his hands and I made the comment, "Wow, dude. You're hands are, like, tiny." He stops talking immediately after I said that, looks me dead in the eyes and says, "Well, excuse me, 'Miss Long Skinny Hands and Fingers'." and then he starts laughing. So, I start giggling and hold my hand up to look at it. My buddy looks at my hand and then takes it and holds it and says, "I bet it helps that they are so long, when you play the piano." and I go, "Yeah, it does." He takes my hand and places his palm to my palm to measure our hands. (My hand won. You know me, I'm Miss Long Skinny Hands and Fingers... lol) Well, I'm starting to think of Logan, because my friend hasn't moved his hand yet, so I glance up to look at my friend's face and he's staring at our hands touching. So, I pull my hand away and look around the room and spot his girlfriend glaring at me. Nothing happened, so stop giving me the freaking death glare. Ugh, I just wish that people would stop thinking that I'm some sort of boyfriend stealer. I'm not! I'm engaged to a great guy and most everyone knows that. Obviously, the girl doesn't. I meant to try to talk to her and tell her nothing happened, but I got pulled away to help with the little kids. I don't know what to do about it. Should I let it go and forget about it or should I tell her that nothing happened?

The whole hand touching thing lasted less than 15 seconds. I have no idea what she thought could happen in 15 seconds. I'm going to see her tomorrow night at church (it's VBS and I'm a teacher) and I'll tell that nothing went on (or ever has before) between us.

Bob! I knew you'd have something to say about this. So far, I like your response better. I shouldn't have to say anything to her... Good point. ^.^

I have to agree with Bob, obviously her problem is her trust issue with her bf.

They've been going out for a while now. Probably about a year or a little longer. Maybe she does have trust issues. It wouldn't surprise me

Or maybe it's just my killer looks that have her so upset.... lol NOT!! I'm just kidding. :P

I'd say ignore it unless she doesn't stop glaring at you, or brings it up. It's obviously not that big of a deal, and you making a statement to her almost makes it sound more suspicious than it should have been. You doth protest too much, etc.

I don't even know why you need to ask. You didn't do anything, why should you need to explain yourself, right? Let her be catty if she wants, she's 16! It's expected.

EDIT. I just checked your profile and saw that you're 16 as well. No offense intended there.

Lol Yeah, it's true, my hands are sort of freakishly long and skinny. Oh, the painful memories of elementary school. lol But I'm showing them people now! lol Who's got a full scholarship to any college she wishes to attend because of music? Ooh, me! ^.^

Sorry, I had to gloat there, a bit. lol

Update: I haven't seen that girl in over a week. She hasn't been coming to church! lol But I'm sure that she and my friend are still going out. I heard him asking her mom why she wasn't at church. He was pretty upset that she wasn't. Hm.
