Be Honest and Get Honesty. Be Typical and Get Typical.

I'm tired of people saying they will be honest with comments and then posting them but making them not even about the poem they read. Anyone can say they loved so and so line but nobody really seems to go beyond that. I'll be honest, I really don't like a lot of poems here. I won't tell you that but I will offer a lot of suggestions whether you want to take them or whether you want to throw them at me in a nasy pm. It's your choice but you get in return what you give back.

If you use honesty in your comment on my story, "Innocence" then I will be honest with two of your poems. If you leave me a one liner or even a paragraph where you copy and past sections and then leave one line explaining why you liked each part, then that is all you will get in return.

Read the excerpt of the story and think it shows promise, as did the others. My only questions are who/what is a "basketball pole" and why did he/it jump into the story and then right back out? This seemed to confuse my poor addled mind. I also am attempting to write a mystery but it is slow.

The main character doesn't want to know anybody by names, there's no point for her, so she describes them by how they look or how they treat her. The basketball pole is just another way for her to say, "That really tall skinny kid."
