Is THAT what it means? No, I haven't heard of it and never done it, especially since the last time I ever did swam was way back in secondary school. (i.e. like 4-5 years)

And yes that's what it is. It's not smart to do when it's cold out but it's fun. I'm proud to say I have gone skinny dipping in four countries. lol.

Right. I've never done that either. Normally if I jump off any of the cliffs I have in mind, I experience this feeling that most people call "falling" and some people call "flying" and a few call "wheeee!!!" and then I will splat on the rocks and die.
