Really a big problem!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everybody;I have a big problem(I'm sure this topic has been discussed many times before!!)
My best friend is in love with a guy; he was absent(he was in holiday)and she met him recently I was with her;we talked with each other for almost 2 hours and after I left them he asked her to go out with him;she gave him her number and since then he kept calling her.
till now everything is ok but the weird thing he kept asking her about me:my opinion on him;what we say about him,what my friend will tell me when she will go out with him; if I get jealous;if I asked her whether he wants to go out with her or not....
It felt odd that he asked these questions and I don't know why?
So please could you tell me why he is asking these questions?
it was the 2nd time he met my friend and the 1st he met me.
at first he didn't recognize her he has forgotten her name!!!and now he wants to have a date with her!!!!!

He obviously is thinking about you. and let me tell you something.... guys are pretty unthoughtful... UNLESS they feel something. he forgot your friend's name... caz she wasn't anything special to him when they met.
Now.. he met you... but he's known your firned longer... so maybe he wants to be decent and not hurt your friend's feelings... so he asked her out instead of you. which is quite strange but it means he is trying to be "fair."

I agree with u partially:may be he is interested in her but I find it abnormal that he asked so many questions about me!!
why he has told her I get jealous??what does this have to do with my opinion on him??
why he is so interested in what she will tell me when she will get out with him?
I think it's a normal thing after all she is major she doesn't have to follow my opinions and judgments
true we are friends but she is free.
it's a little bit odd!
