I agree with it. I see nothing wrong in it actually. It's putting that person out of their misery, but i agree with FZA that there needs to be strict supervision by doctors.

If an animal is really suffering, for example your pet dog, then the vet may well say 'it would be kinder to put him down'. In some cases yes this is true as when the animal is alive they are in great pain.

My view is that if animals can be let to die for this reason then why not humans? If someone is in such much pain that their life seems pointless or they cannot even move from their beds then they should be allowed to die if thats what they want.

I stress the 'if thats what they want part' and anybody considering this type of death should have physicatric assessments to check that they are in sound mind. I mean some people say they want to die, when really they don't.

Any way in some countries euthanasia is legal and they even have special clinics that people can go to that are deidicated to helping people end their suffering.
