I think it might be harder for guys to admit this but that only my opinion.

After the third week were together,I remember i used to write down a sentence every night explain my love for her. then after about3months. I said i love you to her and handed her the little handbook.

I remember my ex was the first to say he loved me. We were on the phone, and both of us being That 70's Show fans, I thought it would be funny if I replied back with, "I love... cake." It was so funny. I eventually told him I loved him after we laughed. :P

It may be hard for some people because the other person might not feel the same way (yet), and there is always that fear of scaring them away or even rejection.

Exactly, i remember saying the three words, when i was going out with this lass, i contemplated so much of what to say to her. ended up she said it, just before i was about to, which made it alot easier, cause i knew we left the same.

^ That is precious. I did something similar to that myself. I kept and made a lot of journals on the computer in Word. After spending the day with him or talking to him on the phone, getting to know him a little more each and every day, I would write, in detailed account, about our adventure or conversation and the things that I adored about him. After we had confessed our love for each other, little by little and day by day, even now (over 4 years later), I show him some of what I have written; some new and some old just to remind him. He always gets a big grin on his face. :)

The first time that the both of us said, "I love you." was in August, around 5 months into dating, and we'd just gotten inside after having a leaf fight at the park. We went downstairs to his room and laid on his mattress to cool off. He grabbed me and dragged me on top of him. I laughed insanely, feeling embarrassed on account that I have double dimples. He laughed at my embarrassment; said that was one of the cutest things he'd ever seen, then kissed me (not our first kiss, but one of many) and sighed, "I love you." to which I whispered, out of breath, in reply, "And I love you." Honestly, it was one of the most natural things in the world. :)
