Racism!!??

ok, i know that february is black history month... but i'm tired of people always going on and on about racism! i'm totally 110% NOT racist. but i don't see why we celebrate black history month more than presidents day. I mean... black and white people have done loads of things in the past, but it seems that we as a nation are favoring black more than white. I don't believe it's racist to call someone black. Cuz news flash, if your skin is black, you are black, and if your skin is white, than you are white. That is like saying that instead of saying that someone is white, they should be called American, because it would be offensive to call someone white. Throughout history we have been all put into groups. like, Aisans are from Asia. This whole thing is like if the nerds of the world got angry and rose up because we put them into groups and associated them with Dungeons and Dragons or something. I just think that we should stop leaning on the term racism when someone says something offensive. You don't see white people use the term when they are called a "cracker" for example. I just think the whole thing has gone totally completely overboard. I also don't like the fact that slavery from 100 years ago is still an issue. It's over. If you don't like white people associating black people with guns and drugs, don't associate white people with slavery. Once again, i'm 110% NOT racist. I just think that we as a whole need to drop the whole thing. Sorry if i offended anyone, but that's my opinion.

Race is it's own problem. It shouldn't matter, it should be about how a person lives their life. Like my quote says: Black White, rich or poor, an areshole's an arsehole.

Hell, some people are more racist because they are a minority... Heads up people, YOU'RE ONLY A MINORITY BECAUSE YOU PUT YOURSELF THERE.

Colour doesn't matter, it's the attitude behind the speaker.

The problem with the US (among many othe countries) is that despite the whole 'equality' thing, the people fighting the fight do not see the impact of reverse racism.

I will not celebrate any day that promotes one race over another. It's rascist.

    Example:

Black oscars is a racist event.

How about I set up an oscar winning event for whites only? I'm sure that would go down real well with the ACLU.

I am not racist at all, but I'm kind of fed up with blacks thinking they should have special treatment. They wanted to be treated equally, right? So, no special treatment.

Yeah, someone may come back and say soemthing along the lines of "We had an oppressed past!" Key word: PAST.

    'nuff said.

    My blood is red

    Isn't everyone elses?

Man I can't wait for aliens to invade the earth and force us to realise this - then we won't really have a choice - our "races" will have to unite for survival

    Yes .. Im whacked LoL

lipton isn't being racist.. those are the facts.. it's all over the news and everything! well, i think that it's the fate of man kind to always be put into groups and thought of as better or worse.. so sad... it's even gotten to the point where it's sort of a reverse racism.. like.. black people are treated better because of the fact that they are black. i just think that the whole world has become too politicaly correct for it's own good.

I hear the same thing with concentration camps all the time from people of all ages here in Britain. (Slavery in all but name, by the way.)

I always respond with the same answer. 'Read about the Boer War.'

"Lipton....read what you wrote, then consider what you said equality does not include the word 'they'"

Okay, apparently, I need to explain this. I realize that in equality, everyone is, well... equal.

I was talking about the specific race wanting to have special treatment for their oppressed past. It makes sense, really.
