What was (one of) the best day of your life?

I think one of the best days of my life is when I became a senior. I'm so ready to get out of school so I can start college and get my own apartment. Another time is when I traveled to Cali to visit my family. It was so beautiful....And when I met my boyfriend....

One of the best days of my life would probably be July 7, 2008. It was the day that went off to boot camp for the U.S. Navy. I was so excited to actually venture out on my own; away from the drama. Also, April 11, 2009. That was the day that I met the love of my life. Have been goin' strong ever since.

Was it hard bein in the navy? Or bootcamp?

The best day of my life was 2-6-1993 that's the day i got married and we have r shares of up and downs but we are still in love and will always be.

I'm still in the Navy. But no, Bootcamp was a piece of cake. At least for me it was :)

Wow...ive seen ALOT of war movies...i know this might sound like a dumb question but is bootcamp something like that?

The best day of my life was when I moved out of my refugee home and was able to live in a village. those days we'd get ice cream delivered were like magic and very rare. I think people can learn a lot just from denying themselves something so wonderful for a while. You truly appreciate it more in the end no matter your age.

Lol;; oh no way. every day is the same. you wake, eat breakfast, run, study, eat dinner, shower, get beat (exercise), and then sleep. nothing like War eh.

Classy lies? It doesn't seem like you were from here? Where are you from? And that seems right about people denying themselves but at times it's for the best.

KJ? I was just getting that war and bootcamp thing straight because since i was little i always thought it was like that. But was it necessary for you to go to bootcamp for the navy?

Yeah, it is a must. sort of initiation. or so i like to think

What made you choose the navy? Alot of people on my mothers side were in the navy or some type of army field....if that's the correct term for it?

I think you mean 'Branch of Service' :) But umm, I don't have an exact reason as to why I joined the Navy. I actually left for bootcamp right after high school. I had no scholarship for college and the economy really sucks right now, so a good paying job was no where to be found. So, I joined the Navy. I get the GI Bill once I get out for college so I will have no worries. But really, I think that the Navy was the right choice for me.

Wow...ok that's what i meant...i have some understanding now...What do u think you learned from being in bootcamp and entering the Navy?

Well in bootcamp I learned a lot of the Navy's history and I also learned discipline. I had to learn to just listen and obey; even if it is something totally ridiculous that I am being told to do (do it). Lessons of the Navy: learn to live life without regrets. Try to get everything that you can out of each day.

Wow that's something...In the Navy you just like fly jets and like watch over states?

Nah, that sounds like the Air Force. Navy is the protector of the seas. We are the ones with the big flashy ships ;) lol. But I am in the aviation field. So that means I work on aircraft. I dont fly, just maintain. I am a rated Aviation Structural Mechanic. We make sure that the planes or jets are ready to take flight without any malfunctions eh.

Wow that means you are VERY smart. I don't know how anyone could work in the fields that they do without being confused by their work....

Yeah, well it's really not that hard. All you have to do is listen. I mean, it's not like they put a F-18 in front of me and say: "fix it, Sailor!". lol. We have to be taught everything before we are able to touch $40 million aircraft eh. But what is your occupation? Or are you in school?

The greatest day I ever had, was when I learned to cry on demand.

My best day was when it rained me and this girl i like, sat down at a lake and listend to what i like to call "our song" after that and being so close it really did stop raining....and we sat there not talking and we were wonderful

January 2nd 2009 was the most awesome day of my life, I just finished DP1 (infantry course here in Canada) our course started with 41 ended with 16. Was hell to go through but damn was I proud to get through it.

On of the best days of my life was landing in Iceland with my family for vacation. It really was the best vacation spot ever :D

Not only that, but it brought my family even closer together. (Which I didn't think was possible since we are naturally close)

The best day of my life so far was either when I made 6th place in the region choir, finally! i have one more year to try, and i want to try again for state.

The other best day of my life was when I went to the renaissance festival on halloween of this past year. i went with someone who would later become my boyfriend, and it was really amazing :))
we got together less than a week later *^_^*
