Questions on the Portfolio for the Creative Writing Application

I'm applying for an University in Canada, with a minor in Creative Writing, and I have to give a 15 page portfolio, except I'm not really sure what to put.
Has anyone done it? Could you tell me what kind/type of writing you chose?

This is the information they gave :

**Students wishing to enter any introductory genre course in Creative Writing (225, 226, 227) or the Creative Writing programs (Major, Minor, Honours in English and Creative Writing) must apply by submitting a letter of intent, and a portfolio consisting of a maximum of 15 pages of their best writing in poetry, drama, and/or fiction (short stories or novel excerpts). For students applying to the Creative Writing programs, submission in more than one genre is required.

Non-fiction work (for example, essays, research papers, articles, journal entries, or reviews) will not be considered. Work in a specific popular form (for example, fantasy, science fiction, horror, or romance) will be considered only if it does not constitute the entire portfolio, as our program does not focus on these areas.**

What are the other areas I must include?

Ack, I'm a bit nervous! haha.. I don't want to give the wrong things!
    Thanks ^^

Haven't done this before, so don't really know... I guess what they mean is put in work you have done but not presented in school or done for an assignment or anything... let your work be from different genres and topics with different styles.

    ^Exactly.

I actually want to have a minor in writing too but haven't gotten to it yet since I'm concentrating on my major :/ but yeah, I love writing! ^.^

You pretty much have to write 15 pages of your best work. You can use a few pages to write a story then put in a poem, etc. It's actually pretty simple. Try to put in a wide range of works! Good luck!!

(sorry i couldn't sign in this week)

    thanks for the advice!

It is pretty simple, but i guess when you want to do it correctly it just seems complicated. everything has to be 'perfect' ^^' lol
