Does Anyone...

Just curious if anyone on this site believes that vampires exist? Not Twilight or any of that junk, like actual vampires...

Yes I do. I'm a firm believer in all things paranormal/supernatural though. I caught a ghost on my camera several times. I just curious...because I know that more people believe in ghosts than vampires. I just wanted to know how many people thought vampires existed as well.

I believe in ghosts.. but not vampires. Huge difference in my mind.

I saw you said you believed in vampires but only gave ghosts as an example. So have you seen vampires, not the teens to get their teeth altered to be a twilight junkie but a real vampire? If so please do elaborate and what about the myth is true about them?

Warewolves? Same thing with them.

I'm with Amanda. Ghosts, sure. Vampires? Not so much.

Haven't seen a vampire, no. I haven't seen a werewolf either, but I do think there's a stroger possibility that werewolves could exist than vampires.

I guess I was looking for you to say you had seen one. I'm not one to knock 'faith' as many believe in a higher being without seeing it. However, with 'vampires' I feel it's one of those things you really have to see to believe.

I'll state that out of all the sci-fi 'creatures' vampires are one of my most beloved. Werewolves not so much, as a child I always hated watching them 'change'. Vampires had a 'romance' to them and boy did I ever wish there was such a thing. So just to state that so you don't think I'm someone who doesn't like the 'idea' of Vampires. I do and I read many books with them in it. But I'm personally a see it to believe it type of person and separate fantasy over what's truth, it's how I've always been. Aliens I believe are out there just because of how the universe is, there's so much we literally don't know about outerspace. Ghosts I believe in as they are an essence of a person who has passed away. That and I've had my own experiences.

So again I'm not trying to say you shouldn't believe in them. On the contrary I'm trying to find out what propels you to feel that they exists without having seen them. If it's faith I can't really 'argue' with that. I'm looking for you to rationalize with what it is you believe in, explain to yourself and 'us' why this is so. I'm also not a know it all so am genuinely interested to hear your theories and side.

I don't believe in vampires... but there are people and cults which are very similar to vampires, I think that's the closest thing we have to vampires.

I also believe that all legends, stories, fantasy creatures and all things we believe are "fiction" have originated from reality; there are always logical explanations to them, but sometimes you have a part in your life where you actually believe because there is no logical explanation.

I read an article once that referenced a type of disorder where a small group of people were hypersensitive to sunlight, as in, their skin could barely handle it, and would get sunburned very quickly. these people in earlier history were probably prone to being indoors in the day and outdoors at night (likely the very reason so few with this condition remain alive, night not being the best time for early humans.)

hardly vampiric though. id say vampires only exist in fables and metaphor.

Not exactly sure if I believe in ghosts, but I totally believe in angels...like...souls and stuff...which I guess can be like ghosts...but angels are holy...but ghosts could be holy... I'm confused about that lol.

If vampires are real, then they are a new and totally different species variation on normal humans. I seriously doubt such a variation could exist without some evidence.

Ghosts aren't real. In decades of research by parapsychologists, not a single shread of real evidence has been collected. Questionable pictures don't prove anything and with so many people having haunted houses etc, if there was evidence it would have been found.
