A comment is a comment, at least your work was read, I totally agree!

If you get upset about a comment being too short, take a hard look at yourself in the mirror... You are ridiculous. There are better things to get upset about.
Be grateful someone has acknowledged your poem and bothered to write anything at all. Even a "wow" is better than no wow. If they don't write it, you'll never know they read it! What good does that do you?

I'm not sure if this was soley directed at me but...I'll give you my answer and the others who agreed with me can do so if they wish.

I never said I was upset at any point...I said I was disappointed in the comment simply because of who left it...a person I consider to be a stalwart of P&Q.

I did take your advice and look in the mirror and...although it wasn't a hard look as suggested still, I never saw anything that looked ridiculous?

If you are quite happy to have Wow as an acknowledgement that someone has read your poem then that is your perogative....mine is...I'd rather the person didn't bother....just a difference in opinion I guess.

I never said happy. I meant you should be appreciative of any recognition and/or genuine compliment, no matter how big or small. To deter members from leaving short comments on your poems because they aren't 'good enough' is a bit vain, don't you think?

So....you never said happy?....neither did I say not good enough.. what I did say was I'd rather they didn't bother. Nothing to do with vanity....just my opinion.

There was a whinging git from the uk,
He started a stupid thread to have a say,
Along came a mod, who gave him a clout,
