1. Transport and weather

Lightning struck the plane and, in truth,
it dropped through the darkness
in a strange and silent smoothness,
its lights snuffed,
its life gone,

tracing a last and lonely
logarithmic trail
across the
sky.

The Bus went round and round
And the wheels on the bus when up and down
Hang on what sort of bus is this
where the wheels go up and down
said the conductor wearing a large frown
I was told it was to do with the weather
the conductor looked at me
and replied you're a bloody clown
