Because guys have really big egos. We can't take it when a girl beats us at the only thing we're better at than them.

As much as I hate it, bob is stating some very true facts. Men have been built to be more athletic; whilst we are more talented in areas where men struggle. It's just life; and sports just another area of it.

and also... what does this have to do with poetry? Honestly, people need to start putting things where they belong. Very interesting, but it should be in a different category.

Sadly it's true that women are weaker in bodily strength, but this doesn't mean they're not gonna kick major ass in sports, just most likely not against men. (though there have been plenty of women who have proved that wrong too)

yes sorry this should be in a different category, but I don't think that women should be treated unfairly when they are skilled and strong enough to compete against men in sports. If they've worked hard enough to become that strong to have the capability to beat them, they should be treated with the upmost respect.

Ms. Pat summers may practice against highschool boys, but our Varsity highschool boys and girls often scrimmage against eachother and yes boys win slightly more often, but our girls have beaten them plenty of times, and no the boys did not let them win they worked their asses off, and no our boys team doesn't suck they placed second in states this year and our girls are still going.

So theres a bit of proof that you can't ossume a college team of girls wouldn't come close to beating highschool boys when our highschool teams have beaten them numerous times.

Women are physically weaker than men. Simple as that.

I watch womens football (soccer) I watch badminton, squash, a lot of athletics and other sports played by both men and women.

The technical and physical levels of all women's sport I watch is well below that of the men.

The only event I can think of in which the women out performed men is the discus during the 70's and 80's... even the then discus was lighter for women and the top female atheletes were later proven (and admitted) to have been on steroids.

Women are not as good as men in sport. If you think that makes me sexist then you had better look in the mirror first.

Women are not built like men, which means they are not going to have the same skills and abilities.

It's hardly fair that men and women get compared in sports when their skill levels are so different. Which is probably why we have separate leagues in sports. I played basketball all through high school, and frankly I don't think we had much of a chance against our boys. It's a fact of life, I really don't see the problem here.

If you have bigger brains you certainly dont always show it, The girls played the boys from the same year at soccer and we whipped their arses. It is also equally hard being a woman with the constant pressure to look like someone out of a magazines, womens jobs before we were allowed equal rights were never respected enough and allthough everyone says womens jobs were easy it is a hard job cooking and cleaning and bringing up children and now women are expected to do both, Some sports men will beat us at, but do not expect it to be all.

The reason I dont feel bad about admitting that men can lift heavier things and better beat each other, besides that it is obvious, is that women ARE in fact better at everything else ;)

The size of the brain has nothing to do with intellectual capacity or ability to think 'better'. Yes, men are physically better at things then women. Not necessarily so with boys and girls because that is pre-puberty, girls and boys aren't that much different untill the ages of 14-18.

Matt, (sigh) what in the world are you relating that post to? I never directed that post to you at all, in fact I didn't even know you had written something about the 'size of brains'. I just saw it, felt the notion needed to be corrected (because false facts can't be used in an argument) and left it. So, maybe your a bit confused.

Men are generally better than women at sports, simply because that is the way things are. Men have better physics, while women are given the unique ability to do two things at a time. =D

You cannot say that most women kick guy's ass in sports, becuase they don't. But of course, some women are better than some men, but still, you won't find a sport where women are better than men.

You may be smarter though. I dunno=)

anyway, I found all your guys' points interesting. I didn't know that women were more skilled at multitasking than men scientifically, but it must not be all of us because I can hardly do just that:)

Yes, thats true. Men were built physically stronger and faster than women, so naturally they're going to kick our asses at sports. But I think at some point someone said that men were even better at ballet and gymnastics, not sure if I agree.

true, in ballet and gymnastics the men are much stronger than the women, but in those areas also require a skill in grace, which in my opinion women handle better than men.
(thats not scientifically proven though, so guys feel free to prove me wrong, just observations I've made)
in my opinion women in dance and choreography are able to provide more skill in areas that require certain motion and technique such as ballet that observes much flexibility and graceful motion.
I also noticed however that men prove to be more skilled than women in tap and river dance. So in dance I suppose women handle the grace and poise 'better' and men take the tap and river.

1st Girls basketball team Vs. 1st Guys team.
Who kicked who's ass? Lets just say that girls and guys play differently. And up til today I would have said guys style kicks ass over girls. But the girls had the most incredible zone defence keeping the guys outside 3 point whole game. Girls kicked guys 57 to 78. So there.
MAN kicks Zone normally and guys kick girls but today proves that you shudnt generalize.
I'd take you on anyday.
