what is worse...being crippled at birth...or by accident...

think about it. if you had to choose, between being born a cripple, so you never know what you are missing out on and you never know what its like to run or jump. Or to have a chance to live your life that way and then all of a sudden get it taken away from you from a freak accident and then knowing exactly what you are missing day after day for the rest of your life. what is worse?

rather be born with it...
then having it then losing it...

That's a tough question. Kind of like, "It's better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all." Have any of you ever felt the crushing emotional burden of losing a lover? Anywho, back to the question, I think that I would rather have been crippled at birth.

a good point as well. and i feel bad for people that look at "cripples" and think they are abmornal, but it is a thoguht that im sure runs through many disabled people. and i hope that one day they come to realize that they are not abnormal, but as "normal" as everyone else, in their own way. becuse everyone has something wrong with them, noboddy is perfect, cud be their brains, their legs, their eyes, their personality (some people make rude assinine comments) or anything for that matter. so no one can ever be "abnormal"

i agree with you born about the crippled part. but if i had to choose a time to be blind, id want to see the beautiful life around me before my world turned black. it wud drive me insane listening to everyone talk about how pretty something is and me having no idea. at least if its later in life, you'll have your memories.

So...So far 7 people would rather be crippled at birth, and 3 would rather be crippled by accident. i wonder if the debate has come from any views that society in general things. what do you guys think? maybe we'd rather be crippled at birth because some people think "oh they caused it themselves dont feel bad for them" somewhat like homeless people. i dont know at all really lol im just trying to spice stuff up some more....what are your thoughts people?
