well..parents tend to freak out about witchcraft, cuz they think evil statanic aaaaah but yea. ur friend sucked.

NOW ON TO WHAT MATT HAS BEEN WAITING FOR. haha

okay i think anything possible. if you truly think you can fly i beleive that your mind might be able to generate enough energy to perhaps suspend you in the air and then with help from perhaps other forms of energy (my theories have holes i know sorry) if perhaps from excitement and other peoples excitement if you're with people it wud generate enogh that you could move through the air, thus flying. likewise if you wanted a thunderstorm and you beleived you cud do it then you cud generate enough energy and it would transfer to the sky :P weird thoery i know, and its got plenty holes, but i beleive it. and one day i beleive that we will evolve enough to do this as often as we want. yes i beleive in evolution btw, but not the whole big bang theory, just that our minds advance throughout lives. i beleive in reincarnation. and the fact that out souls are balls of engery that never can die and eventually when we get to a higher understanding, each time we move onto a higher plane of existance and when we die we remember all our past lives. i got thatfrom a book i just read, i thought of it before but the book explained it better. neway. so thats my whole ppl can fly theory. i wont be posting any more after this because i know you're going to take my theory, chew it up and spit it out, its what you're great at. so i wont bother defending it since you're going to win the debate anyway:P have fun chewing.

Everyone has something they beleive in.I actually like the whole concept of wicca, but never actually got into it myself. I tend to research religions without joining, but I have to say I wouldn't mind trying some of the practices they speak of without becoming like some of the strange people I've seen out there.

The biggest problem with the theory on a Universal law level is that lots of people do not generate more of what you called "mental energy" than one person. It would seem like that on a physical level, but metaphysics teaches us that one person can be bigger than a million people if they are focussed.

The only way that anyone can fly is if they believe it to their core with absolutely no doubt. They KNOW they can fly, and they can readily do it. When was the last time that a person wanted to fly so badly they could kind of suspend themselves? I've never seen that.

It's just as simple as KNOWING and UNDERSTANDING that you have ultimate control over yourself and everything around you, which is the antithesis of what this physical world teaches us from day 1.

OBE's are the way to fly while we live.

If you really want to walk on water and fly and walk through walls, it's not enough i believe to just think really hard and believe in it. You have to undertake a spiritual journey that may last years, lifetimes...or maybe just a few minutes...you must come to the understanding of how you can do these things by taking baby steps.....the energy you spoke of, that might make it possible fo you to fly...it so sharply foccussed in us humans....so massive...that it's a wonder we don't superman it all the time...you have to crawl befor you can walk though...as they say...maybe you need to teach your mind and soul to fly before the body will follow.

" Ultimately, beyond our sucking 3D lives, everything is created and manifested by thought."

Tsk, tsk, Matt. You say our physical lives are sucky... you are manifesting sucky. Let's live by the principles we teach (preach), shall we? ;)

Anyway, when I say "believe" I dont mean the kind of belief where a little kid thinks he can fly because he has a superman cape on and he jumps off the roof, breaking his neck. Obviously that doesnt work.

I mean the kind of belief that comes from deep spiritual pursuit and understanding, over lifetimes and lifetimes, years and years.

It's more than faith, it's knowing and accepting.

faith is knowing and excepting. that is faith. you can live your faith by the things you say, the things you do. because beliefs without works is just that, empty. it's living a lie...anyway, i still say wicca is witchcraft wich is evil...

    Nicole:

    That's fine... That's your belief.

    It's just wrong.

"...Then when you do decide it you still have a christian root no matter what the bible does or does not say..."

Once you spurn the Bible, you are no longer a Christian. It doesn't matter if you believed in the Bible at one time. If I was Muslim, and then converted to Christianity, then I would not still be Muslim.

Oh, and Mary is no Goddess.

Chritians dont have to believe in the Bible, there are many loose Christians out there that believe in Christ and therefore claim to be Christian, they just make up their own interpretation of the Bible (like every other religion out there).

And I have never heard of Mary referred to as a Goddess. I have heard her referred to as an ascended master or angel of some sort, but she is not a Goddess.

Anyway, why are you even bothering to fight HISTORY? It's proven fact.

You can say you're Wiccan and you can say you're Christian, but ultimately you are neither.

Actually, if you say you're a christian, but don't believe in the bible, it a bunch of bull crap, true it's not just about the bible, but it is a big part of it...and about mary being a goddess, yeah you're right, because she was just a mortal who ahd enough faith to be considered "worthy" to carry god's child in her womb...she's nothing like the goddess that is studied in wiccan.

  • Kaitlin Kristina

Everyone has their definition of Christian, it goes from loose to hard core. Some say that unless you are fundamentalist Christian you are not Christian, which would make Catholics not Christian, but they are.

Anyone who believes in Christ is allowed to be Christian.

And there is not A goddess that is studied in Wiccan, there are many.

Mary wasn't any more worthy to carry Jesus, than the woman standing next to her.

There is nothing special about Mary, save that she was a virgin, and gave birth to Jesus. She was not Holy, perfect, or more important than anyone else.

"...I want to consider her one so therefore she is..."

    Okay... By your logic...

I want to believe that pigs can fly. I also want to believe that there is no such thing as math.

Therefore, pigs can fly, and there is no such thing as math. I guess it doesn't matter what reality says.

See your mixing opinion with fact. You can't make an opinion fact, unless you can back it up with something other than opinion, and I have not seen you do so, yet.

I'm not trying to run you into the ground. I'm trying to show you that your opinions make you look ignorant.

Mass or commonly (mis) understood opinion does not constitute fact either, this is why I choose to not be religious.

I'd like to take this time to point out that all the Bible is is one big opinion, Lipton, what Nicole is doing is being done on a far bigger scale with religious fanatics everywhere.

I would also like to take this time to point out that Nicole, you CAN have any opinion you want. It doesnt change the fact that you're wrong (and there's historical fact to back that up) and that Wicca is NOT a Christian religion.

well, im not sure if she realized this or not, but kaitlyn pretty much explained what i was trying to explain but in better words, and with more intelligence. I didn't just mean "mental thought" like you said. I just didn't elaborate as well as i should have. she is right, it is a knowing, and absolute, deep down, beleif, no doubts. i think if you have that you can fly. no matter what the "physical world" teaches us. haha you know what? i don't even know what i think anymore. it's all jumbled and contradicted. :P i just know we can fly if we want to? if you wanna know why then you should think about it yourself for a couple years and then go a little loopy and you'll get it.

I dont know though... I mean, I honestly think that if you 100% on all levels (physical and non physical) BELIEVE and ALLOW yourself to fly, that's all there is to it, but I think that type of belief is often overshadowed by general concensus that it's impossible.

Since we function in reality as a collective, and it is collectively (mis) understood that you CANNOT under any circumstances fly- it may be more difficult to do so.

Your post: "well what you believe is what you believe but i don't have to like it. I dont know what you mean by substitutes b/c wicca is a form of christianity dork."

Re-read the thread and you'll see what we mean about flying.

Anyway, Matt, you're not going insane. I have written (mis)understood in quite a few threads lately.
