Site Etiquette !!!

1. No hun its against regulation to request votes or rates in your poetry title - I will usually comment something along those lines to if I see it...There is a forum READ/REQUEST POETRY where you can post threads for people requesting them to read and vote on your work

2.No, I don't think so, but stand to be corrected if the regualtions prove me wrong. Alot of the time I put a small comment at the end of my poems, normally an explanation or "behind the story" informative paragraph not a request to comment and vote - though as I mentioned earlier I could be wrong.

As long as you post in the right categories people will leave you alone... for the most part ;)

That means only post those requests in the proper category, the request forum.

Know how to spell, and try not to use a lot of shorthand.

Only get involved in a discussion if you know EXACTLY what you're talking about.

Don't make topics complaining about votes or comments, or other over-done issues about the site.

Don't try to fight with Justplainme.

Yes, there are a few people on this site you want to watch out for, JPM being the main one.

Lipton isnt too fun to get in a fight with either. Dont start up talking God unless you can REALLY talk God ;)

P&Q people dont like other people who are 1. Idiots, 2. Cant spell, and 3. Dont know what they're talking about.

Dont take rude comments personally, because you'll get a lot of them, but there are also very nice people on here, like Eirisa or Bob Shank.

You'll see a lot of all the above people mentioned.

I think a lot of people are mean to the newbies actually, but once you settle in and find your "place" you'll be fine.

You have to get pushed around a little bit when you're new so that people decide how much shit you'll take. I remember my first day here I got in a big fight with James Darron Star, I dont know if anyone remembers that egotistic jerk or not, then I went on a rant about childrens rights and sexuality, arguing with all these concerned parents, with Bob Shank, then I got slammed by JPM and had to fight with him. Then I hated him for about a week before I acquired a taste for his form of bull shit, but came to appreciate the brilliance.

You'll have your war stories and battle scars too, newbie, but you're OUR newbie and we love you for that ;)
