need advice

i just pierced my cartallige (top of the ear) myself. I dissinfected the earing and needle before-hand. Any other ways to keep it dissinfected other than cleaning it out with rubbing alcohol reguraly?

ps... doesnt it hurt like a bitch? yeouch!!

i think that's the most sure fire way to keep it squeaky clean.
