Hello,a random scientifc question your way guys, its cool to know though, soo anybody knows whats the difference between the BLue Blood and the Red Blood???

Guys am talking about Blood colors in General!
all Living cretures! sorry i've i troubled you,but thats what i meant! :-)

and coz i even don't consider the Human body
having Blue Blood "it was set just to help studying
    diagrams " : S

Did you have to post this three times?

    The answer is no

All blood is blue and it turns red when it encounters oxygen.

    No problem :)

Where did you go Eirisa? You vanished for a while. We missed you.

    Yo Violaxcore
I surly know whats about those two types,
i am asking others here ,just to talk about
    something useful!

and i don't need some bio classes
coz am studying medicine already! too late : S

    ;-)

    =Eirisa=
lol "praying to come again" to read the answers
    :-)

  • R F

ummm Nobody! that was a wrong answer, that's not the difference!

  • R F

    Kaitlin Kristina :-)
all Blood cells got O2 thats for sure, but its doesnt trun
into red coz of the O2!! Red means a color right? so those red blood cells gained its reddish color coz of the iron ions atttached to its Hemoglobin ,which cuases that red color!

  • R F

justplainme: If you are not interested why did you even click the topic :-) ?! why don't you post your Retard Topic instead ! ;-)

and about that re posting, can't you all figure out
that it might be a network mistake?! anybody out of
    mistakes? raise Hands please !

    jeez

Rua: "Blood contains about five million million red blood cells per litre; each red blood cell contain many molecules of a pigment called haemoglobin which loosely binds oxygen as the blood is pumped through the lungs. Fully oxygenated blood is bright cherry red. On reaching the tissues of the body the oxygen leaves the haemoglobin and diffuses to regions of lower oxygen concentration. Blood which has given up its oxygen is a darker bluish-red."

    It's because of oxygen.

  • R F

    Dear Kaitlin Kristina :-)
we are not arguing about a scientific fact ,are we?
you were all right talking about the binding and unbinding issue, but you've just answered your self about the cause!! HOW? you've just said that Blood
after giving up its Oxygen turns into Darker Bluish-Red color! so how come it even looks like red " Darkish red" ?!!!!

means its not coz of the O2 :-)

  • R F

and by the way: am suspecting that you all think
that am talking about Red and Blue Blood which we
    see on the Anatomical Diagrams!!!!

oh my god,its not that what am asking about!
am talking about Red and Blue Blood in general!!!

    by the way again:
there is Green blood out there too : S

  • Kaitlin Kristina

Rua: What are you proving by understanding the technicalities of "red" and "blue" blood? I bet that's one of the only technical scientific things you know, and think it's funny that you're trying to prove how smart you are by arguing about it.

The color of blood is determined by oxygen content, and the reason that seemingly "blue" veins bleed red is because when the blood encounters the oxygen, it gets fully absorbed, hence turning red.

And it's not blue, it's just dark and light red.

  • R F

    Kaitlin :-)
I am smart, just like you are for sure.
but i just said that am not talking about what you're still arguing about!

and you are saying again that its not blue, its dark and light red !! RIGHT ! thats not my question!

mate : Blue and Red Blood in General!!!!! All Living Creatures!

didnt you ever ever read somewhere about other blood colors !! RED "as in Human for example" ,Blue, Green as in other creatures!

  • R F

you've just contraditcted your statements! once
you were talking about Blue and Red ,then u ame up with the light and dark red, which i've cleared that up in my answer, and again that Human body "which you are talking about" doesnt have Blue and Red,its all RED !

Again,am talking about Blue and Red Blood in General!

your answer would be so right for the coming question: Why does Light RED turns into Dark RED ?!
you answer about Oxygen would be right,it would be answering why its DARK or LIGHT "RED"

BUT,it doesnt answer why its RED !

  • R F

Heme makes blood red "Iron attached"

  • Kaitlin Kristina

    What's your point then?

You already know the answer to your question.

  • Georgi

o dear god u are arguing about red and blue blood. ok seriously listen to yourselves??? Wow u ppl rly do argue about EVERYTHING

who knew red and blue blood would cause a fight! personally i find tht highly amusing

  • R F

Dear this will make things clear for you:

( copyed from this link below- third and forth line-)
    http://sln2.fi.edu/biosci/blood/red.html

"Red blood cells are red only because they contain a protein chemical called hemoglobin which is bright red in color. Hemoglobin contains the element Iron"

  • R F

lol Georgi..who said we are fighting?

its surly not a fight. i was excited to let someone
know the difference between the 2 colors, now am so much happy and Excited to clear things up,concerning RED human Blood color! which why its red ! which goes back to the same main question!

  • R F

    oh my god,mate
i was just posting some interesting question, its fun, better than talking about some silly things.

dont you agree with me? :-)
and i found out that there i lots of really interested
people, like you,or others who are into Science,or general information.

  • Kaitlin Kristina

What I dont understand is why you're asking a question that you already know the answer to!?! lol.

  • R F

    lol,loool
believe me am just trying to make a discussion, and
we had one here ;-) ! no really the main point was
to see how others know generally about stuff, how others can argue, that's all.

    am a peaceful person ,i swear : P
    lol

    JPM: HAHAHAH

Rua: Even if it did "accidentally" get posted twice, it was posted a third time in the members forum

    Oh and I agree with JPM... :-) ;-) :-) ;-) :-) ;-) :-) ;-) :-) ;-) :-) ;-) :-) ;-) :-) ;-) :-) ;-) :-) ;-) :-) ;-) :-) ;-) :-) ;-) :-) ;-) :-) ;-)...

It's fucking annoying isn't it?! Get a new god damn smile!

  • R F

Still not the answer for the topic, people not interested : there is alot of other cool things for you to talk about !

  • Pianist

  • Georgi

    justplainme you make me giggle.

  • R F

that's not the difference between Red and Blue blood!

  • R F

    OK ,thats it

seems like its not Clicking in the Brain!

    here you go mates:

Blue Blood is found in horseshoe crabs (sea Creatures )

you all had a problem understanding the question
i didnt say why RED looks RED ! or BLUE looks BLUE! i didnt ask wheather there is or not,i said whats the difference, which means that there is a blue and red and am asking about the difference! which means WHY its RED! or BLUE!
    jeez : P

  • R F

    So :

The iron-containing pigments found in blood include haemoglobins (red), myoglobins (red), chlorocruorins (green) and haemerythrins (violet). Haemocyanin (blue), which is found in horseshoe crabs and other organisms, contains copper not iron.

  • R F

    and the answer will be:

the difference is,Red Blood is Red coz of the Heme
    attached which contains IRON ions.

Blue Blood is Blue coz of the Copper Ions!

  • R F

    http://www.j-bradford-delong.net/movable_type/archives/000490.html

copper-based non-hemoglobin blood of horseshoe crabs turns bright blue when oxygenated.

  • R F

Here is another link about BLUE BLOOD:
    http://www.tefelske.com/crabs.htm

"There is a copper-based compound in horseshoe crab blood (which is what gives it it's blue color"
