should mothers be held accountable

To my knowledge he can request that money be accounted for and it would be court ordered for her to do so. I think it should be required though. I think her mother is a bitch and should be beat up and robbed. My mother recieved child support and she ALWAYS used it for us. Our health and teeth, clothes and food. We were dressed better than her. That lady sucks.

This is a tough call, strictly because sometimes the mother and the child have to live off that money, or the mother has to dip into it to pay for expenses like general bills, not designer clothes or acrylics by any means, but it's hard to pin point a law that works for ever circumstance.

Depending on how old the little girl is, the mother also doesnt do a very good job of teaching her manners... little kids should know not to ask people for money, other than family, but that's, I suppose, besides the actual point of this post.

I assume she isnt being "neglected" per ce, because Bob knows that she should be turned into childs services.

If any mother neglects her child she needs to be turned in to childs services, or perhaps the father can take the mother we're talking about back to court with his concerns, but this is one of the cases that shows how the legal system still needs work.

dude.. mr bob?!?! that sounds like ur some gay math teacher or sumthing.... lol.. also about this post.. i think that the most should be for the girls welfare.. and i THINK that there is a law saying u can't poorly treat children or sumthin in most states.. and that the father should be able to win custody over the child if that is what she wants..

I agree, Mike, this argument can work both ways.

My current partner, who lives by herself with her two kids, receives nothing from her ex. She has gone through all the correct channels: the CSA (child support agency in Britain) etc. The guy just maintains thay he isn't working (which he often does on the side) and so consequently he pays fuck all. I would refuse him access if i was her, but my partner maintains that the kids need to see their dad, as they share the same interests like rugby blah blah. Just how a man cannot give money for the upkeep of his own kids is beyond me. But yes, I guess, a large proportion of that money should be made accountable in the first place by the courts.
