Ok he just bought over 75% of man u stock. that means he has the ability to make man u privatly owned, which means its now not in the public sector. all it means is he owns man u now, and he can do what ever the hell he wants with it. sorry son, but you are at his mercy

well, with it in the public sector, die hard fans can buy shares in their beloved club. also when implementing major changes in the club it would have had to goto a commity vote of share holders.

now that he owns the club, he can do as he pleases. for example, he can sack all the players... he can sack the staff, he can move the staduim... he can do anything without having to ask the other share holders. in an extream case he could sell off all the players to other teams, sell the stadium and make a tidy profit. then walk away and do it to another club, it just means that a crazy american has full control and can do as he pleases.

one day he might wake up and decied to blow up the stadium for a laugh... unlikely but possible

That is true, but its the unknown that people fear. they dont know what he will do and he can do anything at a drop of a hat. at least before they would ahve to goto the board members and then the public would find out and could protest. Oh and nada, you called me C Flower AGAIN!! =P

No need to thank me, I have done nothing. Thank me when i actually do something, like stop world hunger or achieve world peace, or buy you a pizza.

Having a business man buy out a club is never good. It means ticket prices will rise and the owner will tell the manager which players he can and can't buy. Effectively, he's solely looking to make money any way he can out of the club.

What's worse is the guy has no interest/ knowledge in the game at all. He claims his family are "huge fans" yet have never even been to Manchester. Explain that one to me. Does he even realise we play the sport with a round ball and score by kicking the ball "under" the crossbar.

Bring on the Manchester United Buckerrooss!
